Queen Decluttering & Cleaning was born from lived experience as much as from professional skill. I know first-hand how overwhelming clutter can feel — and how powerful it is to take that first step toward change.
I was brought up in a home with a super-cleaner mother and a strict no-clutter rule. Naturally, I rebelled — and to this day I treasure several of my own collections. I learned early that our relationship with “stuff” isn’t simple. It’s emotional, personal, and deeply tied to who we are.
A few years ago, I left a busy, corporate, male-dominated role and found a calling: helping women who have been through emotional or physical upheaval. Their stories are theirs to tell, but many are heart-wrenching. My empathic, hand-holding, “I’ll look after you” approach got us through — and together, we’ve moved mountains (sometimes quite literally, clutter mountains).
Two years ago, I moved in with someone who had never let anything go. A great “fixer” with endless projects and things no one else wanted, he had filled the house with stuff. In some ways, we became a repair shop on speed — redesigning, painting, decorating, fixing — but the real challenge was learning the art of letting things go. That journey taught me even more about balance: keeping what matters, releasing what doesn’t.
As we created a gorgeous home together, friends, family, and then friends of family began asking me for help. Word spread. I became the non-judgmental person who “gets it” — someone with practical ideas, a strong work ethic, and a bit of fun to lighten the process.
My role is never to stand above you, but beside you — to listen, encourage, and guide at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I don’t see “mess.” I see stories, resilience, and women doing their best through life’s challenges.
I’ve built trusted partnerships to make the process easier including Charities & organisations to give your unwanted items a new home
